Making Movie Magic and More!

Last Thursday, the Uptown Farmers Market shined in the spotlight!

A film crew was on location shooting a music video for an original song about the market by Maygen & The Birdwatcher. The video will soon play as a trailer before movies at the Lagoon Theater, plus make its way to social media and our website.

Maygen & The Birdwatcher were filmed all around the market, including dancing with everyone’s favorite juggling clown, Chik’n Wing! A huge THANK YOU to our vendors and all the fabulous volunteers who stepped in as extras. We can’t wait to share the finished video. Stay tuned!

And the fun keeps rolling THIS THURSDAY!

Come load up on peak-season produce, fresh-baked treats, locally made goods and dinner from your favorite market vendors. Stick around for live music, catch up with friends, or simply soak up a summer evening in Uptown.

And don’t forget to grab some new UFM swag! Our fresh market totes and fun new hats are here, and every purchase helps support the market and keep the good vibes growing.

Come for the food. Stay for the music. You never know who you’ll run into!

Thursday, 4–8 p.m. at MoZaic Plaza (Lagoon & Girard), right next to Lagoon Cinema.

Easy parking: The MoZaic parking ramp off Lagoon offers a $7 flat-rate on market nights, so you can shop, dine, and explore Uptown at your own pace.

Hats Off to Judy!

If you’ve been to the Uptown Farmers Market, chances are you’ve met Judy Longbottom.

For nearly 25 years, Judy has run our neighborhood UPS Store—and for just as long, she’s been showing up for Uptown in countless ways.

At the market, Judy is part of our Welcome Table crew, a cheerful bunch who greet visitors, hand out complimentary UFM market bags and make everyone feel at home. For Judy, it’s all about the people.

She loves the fresh produce, good food and local makers, but most of all, she loves being part of the Uptown community. And she’s always ready to encourage folks to come back week after week: “You’ll always walk away happy that you showed up!”

Judy’s dedication doesn’t stop at the market. She’s a longtime Uptown volunteer who pitches in wherever she can—from neighborhood events to the Uptown Art Fair. We’re lucky to have her in our corner!
